The town of Big Sky is full of wonderful restaurants, stores and cafes. Here are some of our favorites…
Cowboy Coffee - A great place to start your day with a coffee in the center of town. The line can be long but the coffee and croissants are worth it!
Ousel & Spur - Our favorite pizza in town - take out & dine in. Highly recommend a reservation as it is usually very popular!
Tips Up - Our favorite bar and it is right across from The Wilson! It offers a fun atmosphere, good bar food and there is often live music.
Blue Buddha - A great sushi spot.
The Rocks - Amazing ramen and flatbreads.
Hungry Moose Market and Deli - Cute market with everything you may need. Our favorite option to grab a sandwich to go for a hike.
Shopping - There is no shortage of fun places to shop downtown. We recommend browsing downtown and popping in to the variety of stores. Some favorites include East Slope Outdoors, Bluebird and Montana Supply Co.
Ousel Falls (Easy) - A great hike for beginners! It is a beautifully scenic trail that is roughly 1.7-miles there and back. From The Wilson, it is a 2-mile walk to the start.
South Fork Trailhead (Easy) - Easily accessible from town and a quick, roughly 1-mile loop through the forest.
Hummocks Trailhead (Moderate) - This trail is roughly 3-miles round trip and is easy to get to from town. Great views of Lone Mountain, town and the Spanish Peaks.
Uplands Trail (Moderate) - The trail is easily accessed from town and gives wonderful views of Lone Mountain while hiking through a beautiful meadow. It is roughly a 2.2-mile loop.
Beehive Basin (Moderate) - A Big Sky signature hike with amazing views and beautiful fall foliage. It is roughly 6.6-miles round trip.
Book a tee time and play 18 holes in the stunning scenery of Lone Peak.
The Gallatin River offers amazing whitewater rafting. We highly recommend booking through Montana Whitewater. They offer various trips of different lengths and rafting levels.
We highly recommend using Gallatin River Guides for your fly fishing adventure! They offer personalized guide service, wading and fishing gear, tackle and flies.
We recommend renting bikes at Big Sky Resort and following their trails. It is easy to get to the resort via bus from town.
Take the chairlift up from Big Sky Resort's Village and enjoy scenic views of the mountains. You can explore various trails from the top and take the chairlift or hike back down.
